My Accent

On a couple of the genealogy blogs I read, there is a quiz going around testing for your accent. Here are my results. I pretty much agree – I don’t have much of an accent. Although, I had a friend tell me once that the only thing that I say with a southern accent is “North Carolina.” When you ask me where I’m from, I pronounce it “Care-lina” — and seem to skip the second syllable completely. And, I do happen to think I have a good voice for radio 🙂

What American accent do you have?

Your Result: The Midland

“You have a Midland accent” is just another way of saying “you don’t have an accent.” You probably are from the Midland (Pennsylvania, southern Ohio, southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and Missouri) but then for all we know you could be from Florida or Charleston or one of those big southern cities like Atlanta or Dallas. You have a good voice for TV and radio.
