Where Everybody Knows Your Name?

I used to love watching Cheers when I was younger.  I found all the characters quite entertaining.  Many of the actors too are still quite active  – Kirstie Alley is currently on Dancing with the Stars, Ted Danson recently starred in one of my fav shows of late, Damages; and Woody Harrelson is always making himself known.

John Ratzenburger, who played Cliff Clavin on the show, and does voices in all of Pixar’s movies such as Toy Story.  He is a native of Bridgeport, Fairfield County, Connecticut and I wonder if in his hometown did they all know each other’s names 🙂

A history of the Black Rock community of Bridgeport that spans 1644-1955 is now online. This book is filled with great history, photos, information and more.  Just a quick browse through it revealed pictures of gorgeous homes, an interview with a 94 year-old woman who was once keeper of the Black Rock lighthouse, a listing of schools in the community, info about the oldest house in 1955 which was built in 1720 and so much more.

It has been added to the History pages.  If you’re researching this area, after going through these 200 pages, you’re sure to know almost everyone’s names too.
